Megan Thomas

Founder & CEO
Megan Thomas has 30 years of experience building high value brands and products. She formerly served as VP, Marketing and Communications for Pairwise, representing marketing in the company's successful $90 million Series B round. Megan led the team that established the Pairwise corporate brand identity, the Fulcrum B2B platform brand, and the Conscious Foods consumer products brand. Megan also led marketing and product management for the first CRISPR food product launched into the North American market in 2023. While serving on the company leadership team, Megan led external communications and PR, garnering coverage in The New York Times, the BBC, NPR, and The Wall Street Journal, as well as working closely with the company's co-founders on marketing and communications strategy. She has launched sub-brands and products in the plant-based meat alternative and personal care categories, as well as repositioning under-achieving brands in the packaged meat and spice & seasoning categories. She hosts the FoodTech Stories podcast, and is a former business journalist. Megan holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a BA from Northwestern University.
